Shower, bath, WC, basin, mirrors, tiles, limescale on fittings.
Floors
Vacuumed and wet-mopped throughout, including under moveable furniture.
Dusting
Surfaces, shelves, skirting boards, door frames, light switches, radiators.
Bins
Emptied, wiped and relined, taken down to the yard bins.
Beds
Made, or changed if you leave the fresh linen out.
All materials
Cloths, sprays, mop, vacuum, gloves. We bring everything, including the machine.
Insurance
€5 m public liability. If we break something, the cover pays, not you.
Honestly, no
What we do not do
Six things we turn down rather than do badly. If you need one of them we will say so on the phone and, where we can, name someone in Bremen who does it properly.
Windows above the ground floor
Inside panes at arm's reach, yes. Anything needing a ladder or a pole is a glazier's job and we are not insured for it.
Builders' cleans
Plaster dust, silicone residue and paint splashes wreck a domestic vacuum and take specialist kit.
Gardens and cellars
We clean living space. Cellars, garages and outdoor areas are outside our cover.
Ironing piles
A load in the machine while we work, gladly. Two hours of ironing is not cleaning and we will not bill it as such.
Pet care
We are happy to work around your dog. Feeding, walking and litter trays are not our trade.
Heavy furniture moves
We move what one person can shift safely. Wardrobes and sofas stay where they are.

The same person, every time
Putzpreis is eleven cleaners, all on permanent contracts with Bremen wages and paid travel time between jobs. You are assigned one of them and you keep her. She is named on your booking confirmation before she ever stands at your door, and if she is ill you get a call, not a stranger.

The eight we are asked most
01Why is there a three-hour minimum?
Because a cleaner cannot do a proper job of a flat in ninety minutes, and because the travel between jobs has to be paid for out of the hours we do bill. Three hours is where the rate works without adding a call-out charge on top. If your flat genuinely takes two hours, you still pay for three — we say so before you book and we use the third hour rather than leave early.
02Do I need to supply anything?
No. Cloths, sprays, mop, bucket, gloves and the vacuum all arrive with the cleaner. If you would rather we used your own products because of an allergy or a delicate floor, leave them out and tell us — the price does not change either way.
03Is it the same person each time?
Yes. You are assigned one cleaner and her name is on your confirmation. Holidays and illness are covered by a named stand-in you are told about in advance. We do not run a rota and we do not send whoever is free.
04How does it work if I am at work?
Most customers give us a key. It is kept in a numbered safe at the yard with no address on the tag, signed out on the morning of the visit and signed back in the same day. There is no charge for this, ever. If you would rather not, a neighbour or a key safe by the door works just as well.
05What if I need to cancel?
Free up to 24 hours before the appointment — a text is enough. Inside 24 hours we ask for €25, which goes to the cleaner whose day it was, not to the firm. If you are ill or something has happened, tell us and we will waive it. We have never argued about this.
06What if something gets broken?
We carry €5 million public liability with an excess we pay ourselves, so nothing is deducted from you. Tell the cleaner or call the office, and we settle it directly. In nine years the biggest claim has been a hallway mirror.
07How do I pay?
Invoice by email after each visit, payable by transfer within fourteen days, or a SEPA direct debit if you prefer not to think about it. Cash is fine too. Twenty percent of the labour cost is deductible from your German income tax under §35a EStG, and the invoice is worded so your Steuerberater can use it.
08Do you clean windows?
Inside panes you can reach standing on the floor, yes, as part of the hourly work. Outside panes above the ground floor, no — that needs a ladder or a telescopic pole and different insurance. We will name a Bremen window cleaner instead.
